2012-2013 Dance Year

2012
September 10	Fall classes begin. September tuition is due on 1st day of class.
September 22	Competition and MESD Performance Company costume balances due.
October 1-7	All costume & tight measurement forms must be returned for all Showtime 2013 dancers.
October 24-30	Halloween costume week. (Wednesday, October 24th thru Tuesday, October 30th) All dancers are encouraged to wear Halloween costume to class (teachers included).
October 31	Studio Closed. Happy Halloween.
November 1-7	Showtime 2013 costume deposits due - $75.00 per costume. This deposit usually covers most of the costume cost.
November 22-25	Studio closed for Thanksgiving weekend.
December 1-7	Showtime 2013 costume balances are due.
December 1	Studio dress rehearsal for Holiday Review performers. Time to be announced.
December 2	Holiday Review Show. Venue to be announced. Performed by MESD Performance Company and Competition dancers.
December 23-January 6	Studio closed for Holiday/Winter break. Reminder: Studio remains open during winter "school" breaks.
2013
January 7, 2013	Classes resume on Monday, January 7, 2013
January 13	In-Studio Workshop - open to all dancers. Mandatory for all Competition and Performance Company Dancers.
January 20	Annual Cecchetti Council of America Ballet Day workshop - Oakland University - Mandatory for Competition/Performance Co. Dancers.
February 11-16	Showtime 2013 in-studio rehearsal week.
March 1-7	Showtime 2013 ticket lottery week. Beginning Friday, March 1st thru Thursday, March 7th.
March 8-10	Hall of Fame Dance Competition (Walled Lake Northern High School)
March 16-17	VIP Dance Competition (Waterford, MI)
March 18-23	Showtime 2013 in-studio rehearsal week.
March 29-April 7	Studio closed for Spring break (classes resume Monday, April 8^th).
April 8-13	Showtime 2013 in-studio rehearsal week
April 13	Recital ticket orders due.
April 15-20	Showtime 2013 in-studio rehearsal week
April 26-28	Star Systems Competition (Walled Lake Northern High School)
May 1-7	TUTION FOR MAY AND JUNE LESSONS ARE DUE
May 6-11	Showtime 2013 in-studio rehearsals
May 10	7:00-7:30 p.m. St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade practice at the studio for three weeks. The fee is $10.00 for all three practices. Open to ALL dancers along with our competition and performance groups 7:30 p.m. Holiday Review 2012 auditions for solos, duets and trios
May 13-18	Showtime 2013 in-studio rehearsals.
May 17	7:00-7:30 p.m. St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade practice at the studio.
May 20-25	Showtime 2013 recital tickets distributed.
May 25	7:00-7:30 p.m. St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade practice at the studio.
May 24	7:00-7:30 p.m. St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade practice at the studio.
May 25	Showtime 2013 photograph envelopes due.
May 26	St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade - Featuring our Competition Groups and MESD Company dancers. (line up time 12:00 noon/parade begins at 1:00 p.m.)
May 27	Studio closed – Happy Memorial Day.
June 1	9/Mack Junefest (Competition and Performance Company Dancers Perform). Tentative - Not yet confirmed
June 2	PHOTO DAY. Group photos and Individual photos will be taken at Studio - additional details to be provided at later date.
June 3-8	Showtime 2013 in-studio rehearsals
June 12 date revised	Dress Rehearsal: Showtime 2013 dress rehearsal at South Lake High School – 5:00 p.m. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND. This is a closed dress rehearsal. One parent only will be admitted with a dress rehearsal pass. Location revised
June 14	Showtime 2013 – South Lake High School – Curtain time 7:00 p.m. LOCATION REVISED

June 17-July 7	Studio closed.
