MESD PERFORMANCE COMPANIES

and COMPETITION GROUPS

Our studio offers the opportunity for students to join MESD Performance Companies and Competition Groups.

The MESD Performance Companies are for students who wish to participate in our annual recitals along with additional performances throughout the year. Members are required to take tap, jazz, ballet and one rehearsal class each week. Our younger members are required to take ballet, tap, and jazz per week.

The Competition Groups require more of a commitment. They attend 3-5 competitions throughout the dance year and take two ballet classes, a tap, jazz and rehearsal class per week.

The Petite and Junior members must take one ballet, tap and jazz class. Junior members also take one rehearsal class per week.

All Company members are given the opportunity to represent our studio in local festivals and parades, performing in our Holiday Review Shows and participating in our "Showstoppers" recital production.

Both MESD Performance Company and Competition members must take classes year round. They also attend workshops conducted by well-known choreographers and instructors enabling them to learn new curriculum while advancing their technique and dance skills.

Placement in Competition groups and Performance Companies is by invitation only. Please contact the studio if you are interested.
